From Humble Beginnings to a Local Favourite​​

Toko’s Tacos began with our family, our friendships, and our love for bold Mexican flavours.

After spending more than 15 years in Arizona, we brought home more than memories, we brought a deep appreciation for Mexican food, culture, and community. The name “Toko’s Tacos” was born when our Mexican friends asked us how to say “bro” in Tongan. We told them, “toko,” and the name stuck.

What started humbly at Auckland family night markets has grown into our home for Mexican-fusion food in Avondale, West Auckland. From our slow-cooked birria tacos to our fresh fish tacos and low-carb options, every dish we serve is made with heart, flavour, and Pacific hospitality.
